Congratulations to the team on the Addictions Medicine Unit (AMU) for their incredible approach to patient centred care! The unit was recently awarded with a Leading Practice Designation from Health Standards Organization, which is affiliated with Accreditation Canada.

Health Sciences North Temporarily Relocates Helipad – April 1st, 2023

Starting April 1^st, the Health Sciences North (HSN) helipad will be temporarily closed for routine roof repair and maintenance which is expected to wrap up by mid to late June.

Recognizing HSN Staff and Stroke EVT

In case you missed it - Sean Gilroy’s life took an unexpected turn in late 2022 when he suffered a sudden stroke. Fortunately, Sean was a candidate for a procedure introduced at HSN in February 2020 called endovascular thrombectomy, or EVT, a specialized and time-sensitive treatment to remove a stroke-causing blood clot from a person’s brain.
