UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service Donates Crisis Response Vehicle to Health Sciences North’s Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team

New vehicle strengthens rapid mental health care and emergency support across Manitoulin Island communities

Health Sciences North (HSN) and the UCCM Anishinaabe Police Service (UCCM Police) are proud to announce a significant step forward in enhancing emergency mental health services across Manitoulin Island. Thanks to a generous donation from UCCM Police, the Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT) is now equipped with a dedicated crisis vehicle, enabling mental health professionals to respond to calls more safely and effectively.

Notice: Temporary Closure of Crisis Intervention Walk-In Services

Please be advised that Crisis Intervention Walk-In Services, located at 127 Cedar Street, will be temporarily closed over the Easter weekend, from Saturday, April 20, to Monday, April 22 (inclusive). Regular services will resume on Tuesday, April 23. 

During this period, Crisis Services will temporarily operate out of the Ramsey Lake Health Centre. Crisis support remains available 24/7 by calling 705-675-4760 or visiting CrisisHelp.ca for additional options.

Angèle Labelle may have passed away, but her soul continues to live on through an incredibly selfless gift.

Born on July 18, 1996, in Sudbury, Angèle was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her, especially in Greater Sudbury’s disabled community. She faced significant health challenges throughout her life.
