National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada

Today is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. 

On this day, we are taking time to remember the 14 women, who tragically lost their lives in the École Polytechnique Montreal massacre 33 years ago. 

As a country we mourned together and committed to raising awareness to prevent further tragedy and ensure women and children can live free from such violence.

It’s been an award winning autumn for the North East Specialized Geriatric Centre (NESGC) as the team was awarded twice for their exemplary work in the community, and for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NESGC is a regional geriatric program and offers a collaborative network of specialized services for older adults experiencing complex health conditions.
