Dr. Malcolm Campbell is a distinguished academic leader with extensive experience in driving innovation and regional development. As Provost and Vice-President Academic at Laurentian University, he leads academic strategy and operations, fostering excellence aligned with the university's tri-cultural, bilingual mandate.
Previously, Dr. Campbell held notable leadership roles, including Vice-Principal Research at the University of Toronto and Vice-President Research at the University of Guelph. At Guelph, he advanced major initiatives like the $70M/year Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance. He has also held senior academic roles at the University of Oxford and the University of Toronto, overseeing large-scale research initiatives and cultivating partnerships that bridge academia and industry.
