About the Health Sciences North Research Institute
Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI) was established in 2011 as the affiliated research institute of Health Sciences North (HSN). HSNRI supports collaborative research efforts amongst clinicians, researchers, learners, regional partners and industry to generate findings and solutions for the people of Northeastern Ontario. Current research priorities include, but are not limited to Cancer Solutions, Cardiovascular Health, Healthy Aging and Indigenous Health. These research priorities were identified by extensive community consultations with diverse partners and stakeholders. They represent the health challenges in Northeastern Ontario. Together in collaborative research efforts, HSNRI will strive to generate research that improves health outcomes for the people in our region.
