Manitoulin/ Espanola Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team
The Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT) pairs police officers with a mental health worker to provide care to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goal of MCRRT is to provide officers a connection to a mental health worker on emergency service calls, and work together to provide care to individuals in the community, where they are comfortable, with health care professionals who understand their needs, rather than having them brought to the Emergency Department. Follow up referral to other services can be made at this time if needed.
