Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
An MRI is an imaging test that uses very strong magnets to create images of tissues and organs in your body
A solution sometimes called x-ray dye or contrast may be used to help highlight certain parts of your body to see them more clearly on the images.
An MRI scanner looks like a very large doughnut. You will be lying on a narrow table that will move you in and out of the center of the machine.
During the scan the machine will make loud noises that are a normal part of the exam. You will be given ear plugs to soften the sound.
