Dr. Shurrab’s research interests include topics related to atrial fibrillation, oral anticoagulants, coronary artery disease, catheter ablation, and cardiac implantable devices. His research efforts have led to the publication of 40 peer-reviewed papers and 60 abstracts in reputable journals. He is an editor and reviewer for many cardiology and electrophysiology journals. In 2018, he was awarded the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Fellowship award.
