Dr. Stacey Santi
Research Chair, Cancer Solutions
Dr. Santi has been a Researcher in Epidemiology Outcomes and Evaluation Research at HSN/HSNRI since 2014, and more recently has occupied the position of Research Coordinator in HSNRI Clinical Research, Cancer Solutions since 2021.
Before joining HSNRI, Dr. Santi completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine at Laurentian University before pursuing a Master of Science in Biology at Laurentian University. She began her career in oncology and cancer research during her PhD studies in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Ottawa and completed 4 years of post-Doctoral fellow training at our Shirley & Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Centre (cancer centre).
Dr. Santi’s research interests include molecular epidemiology and molecular biology of cancer (including genomic regulation and protein signaling in cancer), as well as health services research. Over the course of her career at HSN/HSNRI, she has published peer-reviewed articles, assisted in securing research funding, supervised student projects, and has active research collaborations with clinicians at the cancer centre.
