Interim Chief Financial Officer

Debbie McQuarrie brings over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance and corporate support services. Prior to her current role, Debbie held several key leadership positions at HSN, including Director of Materials Management, Interim Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, and Interim CFO of the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI). In these capacities, she has led major initiatives in supply chain modernization and both annual operational and capital planning. As Chair of HSN’s Capital Resources Committee, Debbie collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to prioritize investments and guide the development of the capital budget and financing strategy.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Accounting Science, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Certificate in Leadership from Laurentian University, Debbie is committed to ensuring that sound financial stewardship and effective resource allocation continue to enable HSN’s mission—to deliver exceptional care, transformative teaching, and ground-breaking research for the diverse people and communities of Northeastern Ontario.
