Shayne Wisniewski

Shayne Wisniewski retired in 2022 as General Manager of Mining Projects at Glencore's Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations. In this role, he was key in developing the strategy for mining innovation in Sudbury including the adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEV's) for future deep mines.

During his over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, including five years in South America, Shayne held senior management roles in the mill and mines of the Sudbury Operations. His expertise lies in aligning teams toward a common vision and goal, and motivating people to produce and be accountable.

Shayne is also the Chair of the Board at NORCAT and has been a board member since 2014.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Shayne obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada.
