Louise Paquette
Louise Paquette has more than 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors. Born and raised in Sudbury, she spent 10 years working in the corporate world in Toronto after graduating from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Languages. She returned to her hometown to join the healthcare team at the Laurentian Hospital (now the main site of Health Sciences North) before accepting a position with the provincial government as Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Administrative Officer. She went on to become the Executive Director of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor) and was named Woman of the Decade for her leadership and the difference she made in Northern communities. As CEO of the North East Local Health Integration Network (NE LHIN, now Ontario Health) for seven years, Louise distinguished herself by working closely with health care providers. Now retired, Louise’s passions include spending time with her grandchildren and at camp on the French River, as well as advocating for the adult mental health sector through her work on both the CMHA Ontario Board and the National Board for CMHA.
