About the Allergy Clinic

NEO Kids is proud to sponsor a pediatric allergy clinic that provides allergy testing and follow up for such conditions (or suspected conditions) as:

  • food allergies/intolerances 
  • environmental allergies 
  • drug allergies 
  • insect sting concerns 
  • questions of recurrent infections or concerns about immunodeficiency 
  • asthma 
  • eczema 
  • hives 
  • angioedema 
  • anaphylaxis 
  • penicillin challenges 
    •

About Your Visit

Clinics are held throughout the year and are led by a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist with the support of nurses.

Please make sure your child does not take their prescribed allergy medications for 72 hours prior to their appointment.

Skin prick testing is frequently used in diagnosis. Based on the results of skin prick testing and blood work, an oral food challenge is then the gold standard to diagnose or rule out a food allergy.

Only physicians or nurse practitioners can submit a referral to the visiting allergy clinic. If you feel your child requires assistance with possible allergies, please have your Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner send us an electronic referral.
