About the Nutrition Counseling Clinic
The NEO Kids and Family Program's nutrition counseling clinic provides dietary expertise from a dietitian to children and youth aged 0 – 17 years. Nutrition plays a major role in a child and youth’s development. The dietitian will provide personalized nutrition plans and support to patients and families for making changes to their eating pattern to manage medical conditions.
Nutritional counseling is available for the following health concerns:
- Selective eating/feeding aversion
- Failure to thrive/poor weight gain
- Weight loss/underweight
- Malnutrition/nutritional deficiencies (anemia)
- Food allergies/intolerances
- Chromosomal/genetic abnormalities
- Dysphagia
- Gastrointestinal issues/celiac disease/irritable bowel disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Enteral feeding
- Other conditions affecting growth, nutrient intake or age-appropriate development of feeding skills
