Patient Advisor on the CEO Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) since September 2019

I am a Registered Practical Nurse, a Peri-operative Nurse and a certified Human Resource Manager with a background in Education. These skills enable me to determine the strategic direction of client care services to promote organizational effectiveness.

I participate on several Committees within the city of Sudbury and actively participate in discussions and plans that promote and support our communities’ senior population.

I would like to see more patient and family advocacy.  There needs to be a simpler method of navigation embraced throughout the culture of healthcare.

I currently sit on the Ontario Health Team: Governance working group and I am actively involved in the quality improvement project for Compassionate Care/ Family Support.

I want to be a part of the changes needed to provide a more empathetic, informative experience for people within our health care community BEFORE and AFTER discharge.
