Patient Advisor on the CEO Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) since September 2018

I am a wife, mother and grandmother.  I am retired, love reading, travelling, getting together with friends and family.  I truly enjoy lending a hand and helping others.

During my 20 years of being a palliative care volunteer, I had the opportunity to witness many services and procedures.  Some great and some that could be changed or enhanced to better serve the patients and their families.  I would love to be a part of the process to help accomplish this.

Being a new member of the PFAC, I hope to become actively involved soon.   Palliative care and senior care are near and dear to me, but I would welcome any opportunity to be part of a team and have the chance to use my experiences and compassion to improve care.

I see patients wanting more control over their treatments and access to their medical information.  Digital information is changing quickly and we must keep up.  Hospitals are getting bigger and harder to navigate; they must ensure that patients remain the main focus.
