Join us for our Virtual Nursing and Extern Recruitment Fair on June 20th and 21st. Get interviewed by managers who are seeking qualified and skilled people like you, and you could receive a job offer!

Application Process
Below are the instructions to apply to the Virtual Career Fair through our HSN career site.

Step 1 – Create an account and complete your candidate profile 
Step 2 – Apply to the "Virtual Career Fair" Posting #3482
Step 3 – Be sure to include your Resume and Cover letter in your profile with accurate and up to date information.

Virtual Interview Process

  • You will receive a scheduled interview meeting invite for MS Teams within 24 hours of application.
  • Interviews will be scheduled on June 20th and 21st between 10 am and 3pm.
  • The interview will be 30-45 minutes and you may be asked to have your camera on.

HSN and Ministry Incentives 

Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN): In partnership with Ontario Health, Health Sciences North is excited to provide through the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) a $25,000 incentive to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment to Health Sciences North. To learn more regarding eligibility criteria, please refer to the Health Force Ontario website.

The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG): The Nursing Graduate Guarantee program is designed to support newly graduated Registered Nurses (RNs) by providing them with a full-time temporary employment opportunity for twelve (12) weeks as an introduction period to transition from theory to practice. Following the twelve (12) weeks, NGGs are bridged to full-time employment, or equivalent work.  Currently only being offered in Medicine and Surgical programs. 

Supervised Practice Experienced Partnership (SPEP): In partnership with the College of Ontario Nurses (CNO), HSN is proud to offer the Supervised Practice Experienced Partnership to help guide Internationally Trained Nurses into the workforce or those who have been out of practice for several years. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP): The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a community-driven program through the government. It is designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the participating communities. Clinical Student Extern Opportunities

The Clinical Student Extern Program is an exciting opportunity available to actively enrolled nursing, paramedic, undergraduate medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy students to enhance their skills. Clinical Student Externs will be working in the capacity of an unregulated health care provider. Opportunities vary amongst departments and statuses across the organization.
