Celebrating National Indigenous People’s Day!

Tuesday, June 21, 2022

Today is National Indigenous People’s Day and we are celebrating the HSN and HSNRI healthcare heroes who are First Nations, Inuit or Métis.

HSN is committed to being socially accountable and improving health outcomes for Indigenous patients and their families. As an organization we are seeking a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures and we are working towards developing stronger partnerships with the Indigenous communities we serve.

Indigenous History Month and Indigenous Peoples Day provide the perfect opportunity for all of us to recognize and honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and learn about their rich and diverse histories. Celebrating the significant contributions and achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Metis Peoples in Ontario and across Canada, is a small step all of us can take on the reconciliation path.
