Health Sciences North has been recognized by Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) with a Hospital Achievement Award for its ongoing commitment to organ and tissue donation.
In 2025/26, HSN supported 11 organ donors, resulting in 34 organs donated for transplant and 26 lives saved. An additional 41 tissue donors helped transform the lives of many others. HSN achieved a 73% provincial conversion rate, exceeding TGLN’s target of 63%, and has now received this recognition for 11 consecutive years.
This achievement reflects the dedication and compassion of the many staff and teams involved in supporting patients and families through the organ and tissue donation process. TGLN also recognized the important role HSN staff play in making donation a reality and providing comfort to patients and their families at end of life.
