Changing Lives through OSP - Reflecting on a Year of Care and Connection

Tuesday, May 6, 2025

Over the past year, the Northeastern Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (NEOSP) program supported thousands of individuals navigating depression and anxiety. This was made possible by a dedicated team of mental health professionals who show up with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment when it matters most. As we reflect on the past year, we’re proud to share the meaningful impact of this important service:

2,785 people reached out and were screened for support

1,907 individuals received comprehensive intake assessments

5,936 high-intensity therapy sessions were completed

64% of clients were connected to low-intensity supports like guided self-help

These numbers reflect more than just outcomes—they represent real people who took a step toward improving their mental health. And behind each of those steps was a caring clinician, providing timely, evidence-based care across our region. Thanks to this growing network and your continued trust in the program, we’ve expanded access to high-quality mental health care for adults across Northeastern Ontario.

The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) is available to anyone 18+ years with mild to moderate depression, anxiety and anxiety related conditions. OSP provides access to FREE, short-term, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and related services. CBT is a type of psychotherapy that teaches coping skills and techniques to help clients change the way they feel, think and act. For more information visit neosp.ca.

As the lead organization for OSP in the Northeast, HSN is proud to work alongside its partner agencies in bringing high-quality mental health care closer to home— ensuring individuals can receive the support they need, right in their own communities.
