Meet Matthew Frederick, a dedicated and passionate member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Anti-Racism (IDEAA) committee! Their contribution towards Pride Week celebrations, and training and education initiatives, has been instrumental in fostering a culture of inclusion. Their leadership continues as a co-chair of two new sub-committees at HSN to advance more meaningful initiatives. Thank you, Matthew, for your unwavering commitment and inspiring work.

When asked about their work with the IDEAA committee, Matthew shared:
“It is an absolute gift to be part of a team of professionals who are incredibly passionate, diverse, and who, through their individual and collective contributions, are working together to bravely drive positive change within our organization, centered in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism.

The goals we have set, the initiatives we have implemented, and the accomplishments we have achieved over the past year have been nothing short of transformative. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways to this vital work. Together, we have taken, and continue to take, significant steps toward fostering a safe and inclusive environment for everyone who interacts with and engages with the organization in any capacity.

As we celebrate this first of what is to be many milestones, I want to express my utmost gratitude and kudos to everyone involved in prioritizing a collective commitment to ongoing education, action, and progress. I look forward to offering support and contributing in any ways which I can to the ongoing efforts and initiatives focused on IDEAA principles. I continue to be inspired by the direction we are taking as an organization—grounded in creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, embodies safety and equity in all aspects of service provision, programming, and daily operations, and remains free from discrimination and violence.”
