Introducing Leah, a valued member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Anti-Racism (IDEAA) committee! Leah’s leadership in strategizing and implementing Social Accountability training and education initiatives has been nothing short of remarkable. Thank you Leah for your incredible contributions and continued commitment!
When asked about her work with the IDEAA committee, Leah shared:
"Over the past year, the IDEAA Committee has been instrumental in advancing HSN’s commitment to social accountability, equity, and inclusion. Through collaboration and dedication, this team of passionate professionals has laid a strong foundation for meaningful and lasting change.
One of our most significant accomplishments has been the development and implementation of the Social Accountability, Cultural Safety, and Diversity Training Plan. This initiative equips staff, medical staff, leadership, and volunteers with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to foster a culturally, psychologically, and physically safe environment for all.
As we celebrate this one-year milestone, we recognize that our journey is ongoing. We remain committed to fostering a workplace that empowers all staff to provide care that honors the diverse identities of our region. With the continued support of our colleagues and leadership, we will keep building a stronger, more inclusive HSN for everyone.
I am truly honored to be part of a committee filled with such caring, dedicated, and inspiring individuals. I am also deeply grateful that our organization has not only committed to this mission but has also created the space for our committee to lead the way in fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all."
