Recognized internationally for his work, Dr. Mohammed Shurrab was in Chicago earlier this week to present his research at the prestigious American Heart Association Conference. His research looks at the connection between blood thinners and patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, commonly known as an irregular heart rhythm. Research shows elderly patients are at higher risk of bleeding when taking multiple medications.
Dr. Shurrab is a cardiologist at HSN and a scientist at HSNRI and his research focuses on reducing the risk of bleeding and how the care and outcomes of cardiac patients can be improved.
His work has lead to three important publications this year, most recently in the American Journal of Cardiology. Take a look at his latest findings by visiting https://bit.ly/3DTR4W6
