February is Black History Month, a time to honour and celebrate the significant contributions and accomplishments of Black individuals, both past and present. This year, we are recognizing the important contributions and accomplishments of Black people within the healthcare system and our community as a whole.
At Health Sciences North (HSN) and HSN Research Institute (HSNRI), one of our key goals is to Be Socially Accountable. This means actively addressing systemic barriers and creating an environment that truly reflects the rich diversity of our community.
Throughout February, we will be sharing resources, training opportunities, and community events to deepen our understanding. We’ll also be celebrating by highlighting key contributions and sharing activities that honour Black History Month. Please keep an eye on our social media as we continue to share these opportunities.
Let’s embrace this month as an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow, as we continue our collective journey toward a more just and inclusive community.
