Did you know that Health Sciences North’s Outpatient Addictions and Gambling Service has a Families Care Group? This program is designed for adults impacted by the substance use of a loved one.
Our next group begins in the New Year. To be a part of the Families Care Group, participants must first attend the Families Care Welcome Group on January 23, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at 127 Cedar St.
After completing the Welcome Group, participants can join 10 weekly sessions to understand substance use and its effects on loved ones and family members. There will also be discussions around coping strategies including setting boundaries, managing emotions, assertive communication, supporting loved ones in recovery effectively, enhancing social support and a focus on self-care and empowerment.
