We are celebrating Fierté Sudbury Pride Week at HSN and Katie Runions, a Research Coordinator with HSNRI shared why she joined our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Anti-racism (IDEAA) committee this year.
“I joined the IDEAA committee because I want to help HSN/HSNRI be a place where patients, their families, care providers, and HSN/HSNRI staff feel like they belong and are represented.
As a Research Coordinator working for HSNRI, my hope is that this committee will be a valuable resource for me and my colleagues to continue to improve our research practices and to help us increase our studies focusing on underrepresented groups, properly reflecting our Northern Ontario communities in health care research.”
