In honour of International Women’s Day, we are celebrating the incredible women at HSN who play integral roles in providing exceptional, patient-centered care and are leading the way to healthcare excellence across Northeastern Ontario.
Kausha Nanavati, a Clinical Transformation Lead on the Meditech Expanse EMR project at HSN, had a fascination with technology and healthcare as a child, and found a community of support throughout her career.
“I originally started my career as a physical therapist. However, when I was introduced to the field of clinical informatics and IT, I knew it was the right fit for me,” said Kausha. “Although my peers and family didn’t fully understand my interest in IT, I found support and inspiration from fellow women at HSN. My manager, Kelley, and colleagues, Ashley and Chantal, always motivate me to do my best and better every day. Many strong women surround me, and there is so much to learn from them. We all have unique strengths, so to any woman interested in a career in healthcare IT, I encourage you to give it a shot!”
