Dr. Luke Hartford and Dr. Ahmed Al Mazrou’I with our Surgical and Gastroenterology Care team treat pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and other gastrointestinal disorders using state-of-the-art technology.
“Patients with necrotizing pancreatitis, a condition where inflammation and damage from pancreatitis cause tissue in the pancreas to die, would historically spend long periods in the ICU and need major surgeries. Now, we’re reducing the number of patients that need major surgery, as we’re offering them minimally invasive procedures with an internal stent that allows us to drain and clean the dead or infected tissue that occurs with necrotizing pancreatitis. By using this equipment, we are able to change lives and offer quicker recovery times, reduced complications and most importantly, saved lives.”
