Did you know Health Sciences North has a Spiritual and Religious Care Department that is available to support our patients and families?

Services are available for patients and families between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).

The department includes three chaplains who all belong to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and can assist patients with a variety of issues.

They can provide support in many ways, including:

  • Private prayer
  • Reflection on life and meaning
  • Grief support
  • New diagnosis
  • End of life
  • Arranging for Sacramental ministry for the patient
  • Support to patient and/or family in whatever way they may identify

The Oasis chapel is also located on the first floor of the north tower of our Ramsey Lake Health Centre and is open 24/7 to allow patients, families and staff to have a quiet place for prayer or reflection.

You can find out more about chaplain services by asking your care team when you are at HSN or by calling 705-523-7100 ex. 5060.
