Staff and physicians in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Unit, Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit are thrilled to have begun a virtual care partnership with The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
The launch of the Pediatric Virtual Critical Care Program means HSN can connect quickly with a variety of specialists at SickKids for critical care situations in emergency medicine or the intensive care unit.
Available 24/7, the new technology will allow SickKids staff to see the patients in real time and give more tailored and effective advice.
Natalie Kennedy, Administrative Director for NEO Kids says everyone who works in pediatric medicine at HSN is excited about what this means for their patients.
“We’re really hopeful this will help keep more Northern kids closer to home.”
