Chief Nursing Executive
Julie Trpkovski joined HSN’s leadership team in 2022 as Vice-President, Medicine and Chief Nursing Executive bringing to the role 27 years of nursing and health leadership experience. Julie has extensive clinical experience working in hospitals in Canada and the United States. She has worked with the Ontario Ministry of Health where she was responsible for working with stakeholders across the province to redesign the Critical Care System post-SARS. She provided leadership to the development of key programs such as Rapid Response Teams, the Critical Care Information System and other nursing programs for the Ministry. Julie also served as Vice-President, Clinical Transplant Systems with the Trillium Gift of Life Network, now part of Ontario Health, and Vice-President, Clinical Services at London Health Sciences Centre, one of Canada’s largest academic health sciences centres.
She has completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Windsor, a Masters Certificate in Healthcare Management at the Schulich School of Business at York University and an Executive MBA at the Ivey Business School at Western University. Julie leads Medicine, Critical and Emergency Care, Community Care, Rehabilitation and Nephrology, the North East Specialized Geriatric Services, the Hospitalist program, Patient Flow, Care Transitions and Utilization at HSN. She also serves as Northeastern Ontario Regional Administrative Critical Care Lead.
