Health Sciences North is pleased to introduce Care Mail, an electronic message delivery service for patients of Health Sciences North.

Care Mail is intended for family and friends who are unable to make a personal visit to a loved one or friend and is an ideal way to send your get well thoughts or wishes to a patient in hospital.

To send a patient a greeting, simply complete the form on your left, clearly indicating the first and last name of the patient you wish to contact in the Subject field, type your message, and click SEND.

Your message will be sent to the hospital’s Volunteer Services who will print out and promptly hand-deliver your message. Emails received on the weekend or on holidays will be delivered the next business day.

Greetings will only be delivered to patients currently registered in hospital. Messages to patients who have been discharged, transferred or registered under a different name will not be delivered and will be deleted from the email system. Health Sciences North is not responsible for greetings and wishes that are misdirected, lost or accidentally deleted from the message system.

Important Privacy Information about Care Mail at Health Sciences North:

Please do not include anything in your message that you would feel uncomfortable writing on a postcard being sent through regular mail.

Health Sciences North will make every reasonable effort to deliver messages to patients registered in the system, however, if a patient has requested their name be removed from the patient directory, our volunteers will not be able to deliver your email message. Due to patient confidentiality, we are unable to confirm delivery of any emails. Please be assured that undeliverable e-mail messages will be disposed of securely.

For personal and sensitive subject matter, please send a sealed letter or contact the patient directly by telephone.
