SUDBURY, ON – Canada’s First Indigenous Forensic Pathologist, 10 NOSM graduates and several doctors from halfway around the world highlight this year’s batch of new physicians who are now practicing in Greater Sudbury. This year’s group includes 9 doctors practicing Family and Emergency Medicine and 12 specialists in Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology and Radiology.

Maureen McLelland Appointed Regional VP, Cancer Care Ontario and VP Social Accountability at HSN

SUDBURY, ON – Health Sciences North (HSN) and Cancer Care Ontario are pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen McLelland as Regional Vice-President, Cancer Services, North East Regional Cancer Program, Cancer Care Ontario. Ms. McLelland will also serve as Vice-President, Social Accountability at HSN and as Chief Operating Officer of the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI). Ms. McLelland will be the successor to Mark Hartman who was promoted last week to the role of Senior Vice-President, Patient Experience and Digital Transformation at HSN. She currently serves as Special Advisor to the CEO of HSN and HSNRI for Strategic Planning, where she successfully led the development of the draft 2019-2024 strategic plan now in validation phase.
