Daniel Giroux is the President of Collège Boréal. Mr. Giroux has worked at Boréal for close to 20 years, serving in such capacities as Vice-President, Academic; Vice-President of Workforce and Business Development, and Dean of the School of Trades and Applied Technologies.
Mr. Giroux has been a member of the board of directors for both the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association (SAMSSA) and the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Consortium national de développement de ressources pédagogiques en français au collégial (CNDRPFC).
Before working at Collège Boréal, Mr. Giroux was CEO at Timberock International - Sudbury and Elliot Lake.
Mr. Giroux holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. He is also a chartered professional accountant.
Born and raised in Hanmer, Mr. Giroux still lives in this community with his wife Claudette and their two boys, Zacharie and Damien, with whom he shares a passion for all things hockey and fishing.
