Palliative Symptom Management Clinic

Our clinic helps adults to live with the symptoms and stress of a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. This type of care is also called palliative care. 

Palliative care prevents and eases suffering to improve your quality of life. The focus is not on cure, but on treatment of your symptoms. We help people make decision and changes that will make living easier. We specialize in the unique health care needs of people and families of people who are living and dying with life-threatening cancer.
 

 

Who can access these services?
  • Adults and children affected by cancer
  • Caregivers
  • Individuals or families
Referrals can be made by any of your health care team members or you can call to refer yourself. Registration for classes is needed. Please give us a call to register.
Most services are available in French and English and can be available in your own home by telephone and virtual visits. Our team respects diversity.
 

Fighting Cancer-Related Fatigue: Strategies to cope with fatigue from a dietitian, social worker and physiotherapist.

Breast Cancer Information Sessions: Social, emotional, physical and genetic issues discussed.

Lymphedema Session : Exercise and movement ideas reviewed.

Support Groups: Ask our Social Workers about what support groups would be right for you.
